  1. The Fair of Ballinafad.
    The fair of Ballinafad was an ancient which started about the twenty seventh of August and lasted a week.
    Cattle, horses, sheep and pigs were brought and sold here and people always got very good prices for their cattle at it.
    This fair took in a large area of about fifty acres of land and all this belonged to one man.
