- The name of the townland in which I live is Ballybeg in the parish of Strokestown and in the Barony of North Roscommon.
There are three families in this townland and there are twenty two people living in it. Two of the houses are one story thatched houses and the other is a two story slated house.
The townland is said to have got its name on account of the small number of houses that were in it. There were two houses more in our townland in former times. One of them is in ruin and the other(continues on next page)- Collector
