Tea was first brought into the district about eighty years ago. Noggins were used before cups became common. - There were not many poets in this district. The only ones were Martin Murray Lismehy. Strokestown. Joseph Thompson Ballyfeeney, Scramogue and Margaret Cuffe, Clooncagh, Strokestown.
