- (continued from previous page)When the old weasel came back to her home she found that is was gone. She came up to where the man had the can of milk left and spat into it. The man saw the weasel at this and he was not pleased at all. So he thought to himself that he had no right to change the nest. When the man saw the weasel he brought back the nest to where he got it. The weasel then spilled the can of milk for fear that the man would drink it and get poisoned.
- Long ago people were very careful not to [crossed out in ink: "dis"] injure the weasels because they considered them very wise and grateful animals when treated kindly. One time Grand mother found a weasel rearing her young ones under the sofa when she was dusting the room but she made sure not to disturb them. A few days later when she was having a cup of tea the mother weasel took them out one by one and when she was taking the last one she stood at the door and bowed(continues on next page)
