  1. In 1877 the priests used say Mass in the houses and baptize them also in the houses. The church in Killrudane was owned by a protestent and the bishop of this place wanted to buy it but he would not sell it.
    Charles French bought it and sold it to the bishop.

  2. Roads were made as a relief for the people in the famine times. There is a road which leads from Tully to Ballaghaderin and it was once a main road. The landlord wanted to widen his demesne and he made the road which is now the main road. There was wooden bridges used before those bridges were put into use.
