    There lived in Aughamore parish, County Mayo (about 8 miles from this locality) a woman who had only one cow. She used to go around the country stating that she was going to purchase another cow. It is commonly believed that she had the power to take the butter from the cows. Though she had only one cow she had far more of a supply of butter than any one else, whereas some of the people could not succeed in getting butter off the milk no matter how long they stayed churning.
