  1. There is a fort in Kilvaloon in Michael Doohan's land. It was formerly surrounded by a stone wall about five feet high. This wall is now almost levelled to the ground.
    There is a cave in the fort. The old people say that an underground passage runs through Castleard and ends at another fort in Tom Towey's land.
    It is said if you entered this fort at night you would be greeted by fairies who spend the lonely hours in feasting, song and dancing.
