  1. In Kilvaloon in Michael Dookan's land there is an old lios which was used long ago by the Irish people as a hiding place. It is surrounded by a wall which was long ago very high, but is now almost level with the ground.
    In the centre of this lios there is an opening which the old people say is the entrance to a number of caves or rooms.
    People believe that fairies were often seen in the lios. They also say that if any person interfered with it some evil would befall him.
