  1. A Leiprechans is a tine little man about six inches in height. He is dressed in a bright red jacket and wears a tall cap.
It is said that Leiprechans are to be seen shoemaking in forts about midnight. Stories are told of people who saw Leiprechans long ago. They kept their eyes on the Leiprechan until he told them where his gold was hidden. He usually told the people it was buried under some stone or bush near the fort, but when they dug for the gold they usually did not find it.
