  1. In this district the Leiprechan is known as the sidhe-og. This being is about six or seven inches tall and dresses in a knee breeches, red jacket and green hat. He also wears pointed shoes which he makes himself. He lives in an earthen fence or a hole in the ground near a lios or fort.
At midnight he is to be found fixing shoes under a mushroom or dock-leaf. He keeps his pot of gold beside him. A man from this district caught him. The Leiprechan told him his gold was buried in a certain spot, but when the man dug for it he found nothing.
