  1. There is a small lios in Patrick Towey's land in my village. It is situated on the side of a hill and is surrounded by bushes.
    The old people believed that fairies lived in it and that they could be seen on moonlit nights. One old man who was carting turf for a friend and who came home late at night saw a number of strangely dressed men standing there. At other times people fancied they heard crying and saw strange lights there. Once an old man who interfered with some stones in it became seriously ill. He did not get well till the stones were put back.
