  1. Once there lived a very poor man in Doon. He was always wishing he would get a pot of gold somewhere. One night when he went to sleep he dreamt that a pot of gold was hidden beside an old bush in his land.
    He took no notice of the dream. The next night and the following one he dreamt about it again. He decided, win or lose, to try his luck. Next day he went to the bush with a spade.
    He began to dig with all his might. After some hard work he saw the eyes of a cat staring at him. He lifted the scraw that covered her and there she was.
    He tried to shove her off but she only grinned and would not stir. He called his dog which came running and the moment he saw the cat he sprang at her.
    The two fought fiercely. When the man got them fighting he
