  1. It is said that there is hidden treasure in the farm of Cloonmullin
    and also in a place called Síodhán
    in Cloonmullin in the county Roscommon. There were several pieces of gold found there a few years ago. There was [a] piece found by Patrick Kenny in the form of a sledge. I[t] had the same appearance and weight as gold. There was no date or writing on it by which it could be traced as an antiquity. It was given to the local schoolmaster and he wrote to the
    National Museum but the find proved useless. There was more gold found there also and it is kept in the Museum in Dublin.
