  1. Local Caves June 14 1938
    There are a few old caves and the ruin of an old castle in the Parish. The best known of the caves is situated in (the) the townland of Kiltobranks. At this cave St Patrick rested on his way to Croach Patrick. There are three old bushes and a large heap of stones beside this cave. People go to visit this cave every year and each person brings a stone with him and leaves it there that is why there is such a heap of stones there now.
