  1. Buried Treasure.
    Treasures have been found in odd places and in forts in this district. In our field in Cloonfad there is a great big hole and in it there is a smaller hole with a bush growing over it. It is a remarkable place.
    A few years ago a man by the name of Martin Sharkey and another man were digging for a crock of gold. There was supposed to be an old sow minding it. One day the sow was gone off some place and one of the men was digging down in the hole when she came and was
