  1. Clegernagh is the name of our village. It is situated btween Frenchpark +Ballaghadereen. It is a square mile in area. Tre There is one by-road goying through the village about two miles from the coach road.
    There are about thirty houses in it now but long ago there were thirty six. These six now are used now for barns for cattle. All the people are farmers. Long ago a lot of boys + girls had to emigrate to America from this place because their farms were too small + there parents weren't able to support them
    They most common name in it is Lavin there are eight families of them. There are 14 old age pensioners one is 96 another 86. They do not know Irish but their fathers used to say the rosary in Irish
    Long ago there (are no) were no windows in houses They had a bag of hay to stick in hole in the wall at night or if it was raining
