People say it is not right to go near water on Whit Sunday because if one does it is believed that he will be drowned before the year is out. - On the eve of Saint Patrick's day, the local people always pull shamrocks to wear on the next day. They wear them to Mass on Saint Patrick's Day. Some people wear them in the laps of their coats, while others pin them in their hats.(continues on next page)
