- The most frequent time of the year for marriages in this locality is Shrove-tide. Shrove-tide is the luckiest time of the year to get married, the local people say. There are certain lucky and unlucky days and months for getting married.
Anybody who gets married in the month of May will have no luck.
The days of the week on which to marry are explained as follows:

Tuesday for wealth,
