- The potatoes does be sewn in ridges and drills. When the drills are opened the men pat manure in the drills. They pat seen and the seed grows. When they come up over the ground they are covered again. We have an acre sowed under potatoes.
- St. Patrick's day falls on the 17th March. St. Stephen's Day falls on 26th of December. The boys go out hunting the wren on that day. St. Brigid's day falls on the 1st of February. The young men go round from house to house to dance on that night.
