  1. The most common festivals kept in this district are Christmas Day, Saint Stephen's Day, New Year's day, All Saints day, St. Patrick's Day, Holy Thursday, Good Friday, Easter Saturday, SS. Peter and Paul's day, Whit Sunday, Whit Monday, Little Christmas day, Sundays, and Shrove Tuesday.
    Christmas day falls on the 25th of December each year. We keep this feast in honour of the birth of Our Lord. All Saints day falls on the first of November.
