It was the custom that the two getting married should ride on two decorated horses to the church, and when they would be coming home it was the custom for wives to sit on the horse with their husbands. The boss of the house gave a dowry which sometimes was money and those who had not money gave stock instead. If it was raining on the morning the pair were getting married it is a sign they will be very unlucky.
