  1. A Cure for Rheumatism, Sprains, and Chilblains (unbroken).
    1 Raw eggs well beaten.
    3 Noggins of vinegar.
    2 noggins Spirits of Turpentine.
    1/2 oz Camphor
    1/2 oz Spirits of Hartshorn
    dissolved in 1 noggin Spirits of Wine.
    All to be well mixed in a bottle and shaken well for ten minutes and always well shaken before using.
    Staining floors: 1 lb. burnt sienna ground in oil, 1/2 lb burnt umber ground in oil, Spirits of Turpentine & linseed oil - two quarts of each mixed together. Put it on with a brush or a piece of linen.
