    was their surprise to see a skull. They got the body out of the bog and found that it was the missing priest. It appears that he was on the way to a sick call, when the soldiers caught and killed him.

  2. Years and years ago in the time of Cromwell, the Cromwellian army got a priest and tied him on two horses, one leg on one horse and the other leg on the other. They brought one horse down the Mountrath Road and the other up the Ballinakill Road and dragged the priest asunder.
