    I heard about the old battle from my father, he heard it from his father. He lives in Kilkenny Rd, Ballinakill, Laoighis. He was born in Ballinakill and he spent his life in it. He heard about this old battle about 30 [?} years ago. His father was about 40 years old at that time.
    I wrote about the old battle on the 12th October 1938.
