  1. About 50 years ago a man had a sick cow. All the people that saw her gave her up. The man was very poor as he had buried his wife the year before. He had one child about three months old when the mother died. For the sake of the child he married the second time.
Then he could not afford to lose the cow so he made a desperate resolve to go to the fairy man. The fairy-man told him to go home and where the child would sneeze three times to say nothing. Then the cow would live and the child would die.
That night at the Rosary the child sneezed three times. "God bless us" said the step-mother and from outside the door came the words in the voice of the mother 'God Bless you Eileen'
