Duck weed reduces information, and St Anthony's Fire. The fresh herb applied to the forehead relieves headaches. - For an earache:- an onion was roasted, and past of it put into the ear.
- For a child suffering with worms: - three drops of turpentine were put on a lump sugar, this was given to the child to eat.
- For a child smothering :- a tallow candle was melted and rubbed into the child's chest.
- Buttermilk and breadsoda were brought to a paste, and rubbled into hives.
