  1. A fair is a place where cattle, sheep, and a lot of other animals are bought and sold.
    In nearly every town the fairs are held in the Square.
    Long ago there used to be two or three months between every fair and towns would be awarded on that account. Now we have one every month and it is very convenient for everyone concern. Cattle buyers also call to the farmer's house and (?) cattle and take them to the (?) railway station.
