    There was a man one time going from Coolrain to his home with another man.

    another man. It was about eleven o'clock at night. They separated at a lane. This man tried to go up the lane but he was not let. He was turned aback and beaten with a whip. He was thrown again, the ground about six times. He use to try to get up but he would be no sooner up until he would be down. He could see nobody. Then he fell and he began to pray. When he was finished praying he got up and walked home. He had about one mile to walk. When he went home his sister asked him where did he stay.He told
