- (continued from previous page)They fought for some time so in the end the first man hit him a dreadful belt of a stick on the forehead and killed him. The place where he was killed is still to be seen. For five years after he was killed there was a dreadful moaning or noise heard there.
It is said that the man was lying in an old dyke for a month before he was got. It was never known what happened him, but the people always thought that he fell asleep and got smothered in the old dyke. The old woman(continues on next page)
