    Long ago there was a great mill at the foot of the Slieve Bloom mountains.

    Long ago there was a great mill at the foot of the Slieve Bloom mountains. The mill was used for grinding oaths and wheat and barley The people used to come from all parts of Ireland to get their corn and wheat ground.
    At that time it was nearly the only mill in the whole country. It was the only mill that could make flour. The name of the man that owned the mill was "Quigley."
