  1. The Den was a semicircle of about five feet or so in radius. The rectangle was about 10' l, and 7' broad. At each corner was a mark. Usually five or six players at each side. Those in the Den opposed those on the outside. Penalty for leaving Den on being touched by ball was "out".
    The Bowler tossed ball to the players in the Den. One player strikes it and those outside tried to catch it, then the player who strikes it, tries to run around the rectangle, but can at any time be put out should he be struck by the ball. But once den is touched he must be one of the marks on the rectangle. Should he be between the marks he is out.
