    When they have it cut they spread it out until it is dry, and then they put it in heaps. After a while they draw it out into the turf yard. Then they draw it home with horses and put it into the shed or in a heap in the yard.

    Straw is used for bedding cattle. In the summer time they are left in the field and in the winter time they are put into house.
    The time for milking a cow would be about eight o'clock in the morning and six in the evening. Cows are fed on hay turnips and cracked oats.
