One night a man was minding a sick cow up at Ballaghmore. One night he heard a lorry coming. He lay down while it was passing. He looked up then and saw it was a lorry of rusty guns. The man brought home his cow and the cow died.

One night a man was in a house rambling. He told the people of the house that he was not afraid to go home. He got a stick and said he would not be afraid when he had the stick. He was not gone far when a dog came out of the ditch and wanted to bite him. He kept it beat back with a stick he went home and died soon after.
