    In the Land League times...

IN the Land League times there was a meeting in Borris in Ossory over a boycotted farm. The soldiers came on horse back to stop the meeting. The priest met them at the church and shook his hand with a piece of palm in it. The horses could not pass that spot. The soldiers went back and said the horses would not pass a little grey headed man who was on the road.
