One ti,e a man was going home through a field about twelve o'clock at night. Near Jack Keeshin's he met a black dog as big as a horse. The dog was coming straight towards him. When he came near the dog it went through the ditch without making any noise.

One night a man was going home...

One night a man was going home from rambling. He went across the fields. He was not gone far when he met a man near Cappanara. He walked by his side till he came near his own door. Just as he was going in the gate the man walked in before him. When the other man came to the gate it was shut. The man walked into his house and never saw him anymore.
