    Once there was a priest...

Once there was a priest in Mountrath named Father Dawn. This was during the time priests were hunted. One night this priest was followed. It was a queer thing that he took refuge in a Minister's house. Among the hunters was a young man. When this young man came home he was telling his brother about the hunt.
"You will never have another hours luck" said his brother," for following this man of God". Three weeks later this young man fell at the fire and was burned.

    There was a rabbit trapper...

There was a rabbit trapper living in a house at the back of Annatrim Graveyard. One night he saw a very strange thing. It was like a funeral. There was a hearse with a white top on it.
Everybody says that Annatrim Graveyard is haunted. By the side of it is a ruined church. It belonged to St, Kavan
