There was a man one time...

There was a man one time his name was John. He went to a rath. There was a pot of gold under a tree in the rath. He said he would go home and get a spade. He put his garter on the tree the way he would know it. When he came back there was a garter on every tree in the rath. He could not find the tree that the gold was under. He went home and never went back to look for it again.

One night a man was coming home from...

One night a man was coming home from rambling. He had to pass through a thick wood. When he was passing through the wood a bird flow out of the ditch and tried to pick his eyes out. He kept it back with a stick. He went home and went to bed. The next morning he was found dead in the bed. No one could tell what killed him.
