“There was a man one time...”
There was a man one time his name was John. He went to a rath. There was a pot of gold under a tree in the rath. He said he would go home and get a spade. He put his garter on the tree the way he would know it. When he came back there was a garter on every tree in the rath. He could not find the tree that the gold was under. He went home and never went back to look for it again.- Collector

“One night a man was coming home from...”
One night a man was coming home from rambling. He had to pass through a thick wood. When he was passing through the wood a bird flow out of the ditch and tried to pick his eyes out. He kept it back with a stick. He went home and went to bed. The next morning he was found dead in the bed. No one could tell what killed him.
