    Once upon a time there was a man and he had a son whose name was John. He was twenty years of age. He went to join the army. He was in it for a long time when he came home again. One day his father sent him to dig a bank of clay and put it out the grass. When he came in at dinner time he said to his father what use in putting clay upon the top of clay.
