    Whose gallant deeds of valour his fame did terminale,
    Examine our annals for many a century,
    And you'll find our shades embellished with triumph and victory.

    So the brave boys of upperwoods so cheerfully go,
    With Squire Flood and Conway to conquer the foe.

    In the year '47 you may well remember
    Our spirit and agility most galliantly rivived
    And to the satisfaction of our brave gentlemen
    On the 14th of November we defeated Ballyfin.
