    composed in the ninth century upon the colonization of Leinster. The author mentions among the descendants of "Ir" those seven septs which inhabited Leix or "Láigse of Leinster.
    These Septs were nominated as the:-
    (1) O'Moores or O'Mores (chiefs)
    (2 )O'Kellys
    (3) O'Lalors
    (4) O'Devoys or O'Deevys
    (5) MacEvoys
    (6) O'Deorans or Dorans and
    (7) O'Dowlings

    Their descendents are still very numerous in and adjoining the Queen's County.
