  1. The ruins of Mac,Evoy's Mill are still to be seen in Drina about one mile and a half outside Mountmellick. In years gone by mineral waters were made there and it employed many men of the surrounding district.It is situated beside a large pond but half of the pond is dried up now. One day some thing in the mill went on fire,and burned the whole mill very nearly to the ground.It is a very old mill and nothing remains there now but the high wall,the huge chimney pot and some of the timber,It is owned now by a man named Mr,Egan.
