  1. Manor Mills is another mill situated about one mile outside the town of Mountmellick. Oat meal was made in this mill and it gave much employment to many people. It was a fine building situated on the banks of a small river. It was established by the English when Mary Tudor planted Laoighis. They destroyed these industries after a while but they were built again. This mill got its end by a large fire and now it stands lonely and unheeded.It was owned by Mr,Shane and he also owned Codds Mill before Mr,Codd took it.
