  1. The fair which goes on in the local town is held every third Tuesday of the month.Buyers from all parts of the county and the adjoining counties attend it,They often buy the cattle at cross roads,They also buy them on any part of the road.Over a century ago some cattle were often sold at a farmers house. When an animal was sold the halter or rope had to be given away, or else a new one bought. When the bargain was made the parties usually went into a Public House and had a drink and a long conversation.
