  1. There are different ways of churning, some people churn with a dash churn and others with an end over end. Long ago they churned with horse power.If any stranger came in while the churning is going on he has to take a turn out of it, If not he would take the butter with him .When the churning is over, the woman of the house gathers the butter and makes it into any shape she prefers.Some people make it into pound rolls, while others make it into lumps.
