  1. This is in the parish of Rosenallis. It got it's name from a little grove of trees planted by a man named John. There are four families and about twelve people. Brophy is the commonest name. Land is good. Mr Harry Symth owns the largest farm. Houses are two thatched,two slated. No very old people in this townland.
