  1. There is a rath in Ardscull. It is in the Town land of Ardscull. It is on Mr. Finns land. The land is a quarter of a mile from Finns house. It is five miles from Athy. It is a round rath. There are many trees and briars in the rath. Sally Dempsey, and Julia Dempsey, Kilmeade were gathering nuts in the rath and they saw a fairy with a red hat on her. It is said that a fairy goes from Dunnys rath into Finns rath. Dunnys rath is in the Town land of Blackwood. It is between Blackwood and Athy. Dunnies rath is very big. It is a square rath. If you went into the rath you would go astray. Mr. Dunny said that there
