  1. There is an old house in Skerries Athy. It is in a field owned by Thomas Masterson. It is about five miles from Athy. The house is a hundred yards from the Athy Kildare road. The top of the house fell down a few years ago. There is a round hole in the floor of the house. The house was built by the Black and Tans. They used to put their guns in the hole. There is a big barrel down in the hole. There are supposed to be old guns in it still. People are afraid to dig it up in case there would be a bum in it. One night my brothers Laurence and John were coming home from a shop and they saw a little white woman at the house and she quickly disappeared. My grandfather saw her too.
