- Above all other things sickness is the most depressing to the person who is ill and also to those around them as well.
Especially those ailments which doctors cannot cure except people who through Gods Will find herbs and by certain prayers which they say.
Some deceased which are treated by local cure.
Anthonys fire is cured by Mr Keogh of Minemill, Kilcullen. People who complain of Anthonys fire generally go to him. It is said you visit him three times. When you go he examines the affected part. Then he bleeds his finger and with the blood he rubs on the sore he also performs some other actions but I am not well acquainted with.
Now the Jaundice is another peculiar sickness which is cured by herbs.
