    In the district of Rathangan there are a lot of historic places -
    Acad-Maoilig -Acad Maolig is a plain about five miles from Rathangan. Some of the old people call it the "Plain of the Geese". The following story is told about it -: There was a leprechaun seen there. A man asked him to show him where he would find a crock of gold. He went home for a spade and when he returned there was no sign of the artful leprechaun.
